Each assortment is designed to include breeds that collectively produce a spectrum of egg colors. From the range we offer—blue, green, brown, tan, tinted, and white—your order will include breeds that lay distinctly different colors. For example, a single order might include Silverudd’s Blue, Legbars, and Marans, yielding green, blue, and chocolate-brown eggs, respectively. Images on this page provide examples of the egg colors you may receive. Every assortment is packed uniquely, based on current egg production and hatch availability, ensuring each order is a one-of-a-kind mix.
Pricing is listed per day-old chick or hatching egg, and you may order as few as one or as many as you like. Orders of 1–3 chicks or eggs are guaranteed to include one breed. Orders of 4–5 will include at least two breeds, providing two distinct egg colors, while orders of 6 or more will include at least four breeds, offering four different egg colors. We always strive to include as much diversity as possible, and every Rainbow Assortment is guaranteed to include Marans eggs. If you have a specific breed preference, please include your request in the notes at checkout, and we will do our best to accommodate—it is not guaranteed.
For our auto-sexing breeds, we will provide only female chicks and never male chicks unless otherwise requested. Chicks from other breeds will be included as straight-run as they cannot be sexed at hatch since we don't vent sex.
You are welcome to mix and match breeds or assortments to meet our six-chick shipping minimum, creating a vibrant and diverse addition to your flock.
